CWOs focus their work on building community within their neighborhood or with people with similar demographics across Dallas, i.e. families with young children, adults in their 20s, grandparents, empty nesters, first-time pregnant families, special needs, LGBTQ+ and more!

Mariya Barnett
My name is Mariya Barnett, and I am the JBorhood community connector for interfaith families. My family is originally from Ukraine and I grew up in the suburbs of Detroit, Michigan. I went to the University of Michigan. Go blue! I am a dentist and have my own practice in the Lakewood/Lake Highlands area. I am married to my husband, Andrew, and we have two energetic boys, Michael (5) and Josh (3).
