CWOs focus their work on building community within their neighborhood or with people with similar demographics across Dallas, i.e. families with young children, adults in their 20s, grandparents, empty nesters, first-time pregnant families, special needs, LGBTQ+ and more!
An ideal CWO is friendly, self-motivated and able to work independently and part of a team. A CWO has a craving for community and connection and is committed to helping others build meaningful relationships in tier lives.
The CWO position is a paid position and is flexible. In addition to training provided by JCC staff, you will become a part of a team of CWOs forming your own special community. You will also receive a budget to assist in planning programs for your demographic. CWOs are asked to commit to 15-20 hours per month. We recognize that certain communities will benefit from more gatherings/programs and will will work with you on designing a commitment level that works for you.
